For your Professional and Volunteer experiences use the CAR Method.
The CAR method is a structured approach used to describe achievements on resumes and in job interviews. CAR stands for Context, Action, and Result. It helps you showcase your accomplishments in a concise, impactful way by explaining:
Context: Describe the background or situation
Action: The specific steps you took
Result: The outcome or impact of your actions.
Here’s an example of using the CAR method for someone working in a warehouse:
Context: "Warehouse was facing inefficiencies in inventory management, causing delays in fulfilling orders."
Action: "Implemented a new barcode scanning system and reorganized the storage layout for faster item retrieval."
Result: "Reduced order processing time by 25%, leading to faster deliveries and a 10% increase in customer satisfaction."
You want to use the CAR method for all of your work and volunteer experiences.

5. Go in-person and give out your Resume
You have to apply both online and go in person.
Hiring managers are usually in person on Mondays from 9am-2pm. Try to visit between the morning and lunch time hours from 9am-2pm.
One of the best strategies is to print your resume 100 copies from school and then go to your local mall or plaza with shops and talk to each owner and give your resume to them
Make sure to shake their hand, dress well and tell them why you want to work there. Leave an impression!
6. Student Referrals
The most effective way to find a part-time job right now is through referrals. If you know someone who is currently employed, ask them to refer you and share best practices. This can significantly increase your chances of getting your foot in the door.
