Why Is My Passage Application Withdrawn or Closed?
Why Is My Passage Application Withdrawn or Closed?

Learning that your application has been withdrawn or closed can be concerning. This article explains the possible reasons and outlines the steps you can take to resolve the issue.

Updated this week

Reasons Why Your Application Is Withdrawn or Closed

1. Manual Withdrawal

Your application may have been manually withdrawn by Passage, you, or your guide with access to your account. If neither you nor your guide initiated this action and the reason is unclear, please contact support at [email protected].

2. Incomplete Requirements

Applications may be withdrawn or closed if required documents or steps are not completed within the specified timeframe, causing you to miss the Passage deadline. Passage typically provides applicants with a 24-hour window to reactivate the application before it is closed. If this opportunity is missed, you will need to contact support for assistance.

Action Items:

  • Inform Support: If you wish to continue with the same application, contact support at [email protected] to inquire about reactivating your application, if possible.

  • Upload Documents: Ensure all required documents are uploaded, and all instructions provided are followed to meet the specified deadline.

  • Next Steps for Missed Deadlines: If the deadline for your desired intake has passed, it’s recommended to create a new application for the next intake.

3. Program Restrictions

If the program you applied for no longer accepts applications or if you do not meet the eligibility criteria, the Passage system may automatically withdraw/close your application. This can happen if the program’s status changes or if specific requirements are not fulfilled.

4. Duplicate Applications

In some cases, if you’ve submitted duplicate applications for the same program, the Passage system may withdraw/close one to avoid redundancy. Make sure there is only one active application for the program you’re applying to.

5. Deferral Cases

If you’ve requested a deferral, your previous application may be withdrawn or closed by Passage. The Passage team will either create a new application on your behalf or ask you to submit a new application (free of charge) to reflect the deferral status.

What to Do: Check your application inbox for a new application created for your deferral request, and upload any necessary requirements if needed.

6- Refund of Collateral

Applications will be officially closed once the collateral refund process has been completed through Passage.

What to Do Next?

If you can’t find the reason for the withdrawal among the listed possibilities, please contact Passage Support at [email protected]. Our team will help you understand why your application was withdrawn and guide you on the next steps.
