What Should I Do If I Can’t Register for My Courses Due to a Deposit Fee Error?
If you are a Passage applicant who has paid the required collateral amount, received your study permit, and are now attempting to register for courses but encounter an error stating that the deposit fee has not been paid—there is no need to worry.
As a loan student under Passage, your registration process follows an internal procedure between Passage and George Brown College (GBC). Since you are classified as a loan-funded student, there may be a temporary delay while your information is processed.
Why Am I Seeing This Error?
GBC’s system initially blocks students who have not made a direct tuition deposit. However, as a Passage applicant, your financial status needs to be updated internally before you can proceed with registration.
What Should I Do Next?
Be Patient – Your name must be internally transferred to the GBC Admissions team.
Internal Processing – Once GBC receives your details, they will manually update your status and transfer you to the appropriate department.
Registration Access – Once your status is updated, the registration block will be lifted, and you will be able to proceed with enrolling in your courses.
