Admission requirements differ significantly depending on your country of origin as well as the credential that you wish to pursue.


General Admission Requirements

In order to be admitted into the program of your choice you must:

  • Have graduated from senior secondary school or equivalent

  • Those applying for a postgraduate program must have graduated from a university or college

  • Provide proof of English proficiency. If English is not the first language in your country.




Diploma

Academic requirements:

  • Minimum overall of 50% in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and in Higher

  • Secondary School Certificate (HSSC)

  • English: 50% or Higher in (SSC) and in (HSSC)

  • For students applying to Information Technology, Construction & Engineering programs (i.e.: Mechanical, Civil, Electro-Mechanical, IT/Computers, Architecture, Construction, Interior Design): minimum overall of 50% in MATH in SSC and HSSC.

  • For all other programs: HSSC passing scores in English and Math. If no HSSC Math, 50 % in SSC Math is required.

  • For some limited programs, minimum grades in HSSC Science, Math and English may be required.

  • English: A1-C6

  • Math: A1-C6

Supporting documents:

  • Translated and attested copies of High School Diploma

  • Translated and attested copies of transcripts of study

  • GBC does not accept study gaps of more than 5 years. For more information about study gaps please read this article.

  • Applicants who are under 18 must also submit custodianship documents.



Students with study permit in Canada: If you have a valid study permit you need to upload additional documents:

  • Valid Study Permit

  • Offer Letter

  • Enrolment letter (should be provided if you have been in Canada for more than 6 months)



Graduate and post graduate certificates

Academic requirements:

  • Attested Individual Marks sheets (consolidated marks sheets not accepted)

  • Attested provisional Degree or Degree of College or University

  • 1st and 2nd class degree results required.

  • Degree results must be 50% or higher.


Supporting documents:

  • Translated and or attested copies of Bachelor's Degree or Diploma

  • Translated and attested copies of University/College transcripts.

  • GBC does not accept no more than 6 backlogs in a 3-year degree.

  • GBC does not do not accept study gaps of more than 5 years. For more information about study gaps please read this article.

  • Applicants who are under 18 must also submit custodianship documents.


Students with study permit in Canada:
If you have a valid study permit you need to upload additional documents:

  • Valid Study Permit
