Passage Loans can be used for either i) tuition only, or ii) tuition & living costs.

For partners or students who are interested in a Passage loan but want to apply for their study permit through the Student Direct Stream (SDS) visa pathway, you must do the following:
โ€‹
1) Purchase a GIC from a licensed GIC provider. You will get a letter from them to show you have the amount in living costs required by IRCC.

2) You will apply for a tuition only loan from Passage. Passage will provide you with a letter of financial support showing your tuition is covered.

You will use the letters from the GIC provider and Passage in your study permit application to show Proof of Funds.
